Bob
O'Connor Golf Course
The
Bob O'Connor Golf Course is a 4,600-yard natural public course on
rolling terrain for golfers of all ages and abilities and is open all
year round. Amenities at the 18-hole, par 67 course include
lessons, a snack bar, practice greens, and an indoor practice
facility where golfers can play a "virtual" round on St.
Andrews, Pebble Beach and 31 other famous courses. The golf

Schenley
Oval Sportsplex and Skating Rink
Pittsburghers
looking for serious exercise will find it at the Schenley Oval with
its 13 tennis courts, 400-meter all-weather running track, sports
turf soccer field and high jump area, and cross-country trails. The
Schenley Oval Sportsplex hosts the Citiparks Summer Senior Games; the
area's largest cross-country meet, the Red, White & Blue Classic;
and the Bob O'Connor Summer Tennis Classic. For more information,

The
skating rink is open throughout the winter for ice skating, and its
meeting facility is open year-round. Three special events--Skate with
Santa, the Mascot Skate, and Valentine's on Ice--are held each

Swimming
Pool
City
pools are open Memorial Day to Labor Day and offer programming for
infants, children and seniors. Classes include water awareness for
young children, swim lessons and water aerobics. For information on

Disc
Golf Course
The
18-hole Disc Golf Course offers golf of a different kind. Standing at
the designated tee areas, players attempt to throw their Frisbees
into elevated baskets in the fewest possible tries. The course, which
stretches from the Schenley Overlook to the Vietnam Veterans
Pavilion, winds its way through the park's wooded areas. For more

Junction
Hollow Fields
The
150-foot deep, 2.5-mile Junction Hollow Valley on the west border of
Schenley Park contains several soccer fields as well as a portion of
the Eliza Furnace trail.
